We challenge students with enriched learning experiences that promote higher-order thinking, deep inquiry, and advanced knowledge across the curriculum.
Year 5/6 opportunity Class- a regional class for students demonstrating high potential and giftedness, with Year 4 students from around the region sitting the Opportunity Class test to gain entry.
Enrichment classes Grades 3-6- These classes offer students extra challenges and opportunities to explore new skills beyond the regular curriculum
Grade Acceleration-Students demonstrating superior intellectual ability will be considered for grade acceleration where they complete their learning at a faster pace in a higher year level.
Subject Acceleration- Students identified as having superior intellect in a specific subject are considered for subject acceleration enabling them to study a subject at a higher grade level.
The Premier's Debating Challenge- team entry each year. Coaching during lunch breaks with a dedicated teacher.
Public Speaking – Participation in local competitions (such as the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition) in addition to regular school opportunities such as; leading assemblies, celebration ceremonies, visitor welcoming group, etc.
Maths Olympiad- a statewide competition aimed at high achieving/ high potential and gifted Years 5 and 6 students.
Premier’s Reading challenge- Students K-6 are encouraged to participate in this annual reading challenge.
Premier’s Spelling Bee- students compete at a class level with class winners then competing at a stage level.
ICAS Tests – International Competitions & Assessments for Schools is offered annually for students in Years 3-6 wishing to test their skills in writing, English, mathematics, science, digital technologies and spelling.
Community Languages program – Spanish Community Languages program is offered to native Spanish speakers who learn about language and culture on a weekly basis.
The Tournament of Minds- a problem-solving program designed to enhance enterprising skills, time management, and the discipline to work collaboratively within a competitive environment.
Chess Tournaments- Dedicated chess teams compete across school networks improving their skills and tactics.

In 2025, our school chess team competed in an interschool tournament, securing victory at the Zone level before advancing to compete at the regional level.
