Anti-Bullying

At Smithfield Public School we value respect and show tolerance of others in a safe and supportive environment. We foster positive relationships through strong welfare programs. As part of our school's Welfare and Discipline Policy, our Anti-Bullying Policy aims to deal effectively with and prevent incidences of bullying.

Values at Smithfield Public School

At Smithfield Public School, students are encouraged to demonstrate the following five core values:

  • Doing our best
  • Acting fairly and responsibly
  • Cooperating with others
  • Being honest in everything we do
  • Caring about the feelings of others

Each term, students have who demonstrate these values have opportunities to recieve values cards.  Students demonstrating all five values within the course of a school term are recognised through an invitation to participate in a special event.

To support students in this, teachers conduct lessons to help students know and understand what each value really means and 'looks like' in practice.
